Installation Instructions
When hanging case, ensure that all mounting hardware is securely attached to solid structural support or members. (Overhead beams or rafters for suspended installation, studs or other structural support for wall installation).

If the screen is suspended by means of cables or chains, suitable cross bracing must be provided to keep the screen from swaying during manual operation. This is particularly important if the screen is to be operated from some point to either side rather directly below the unit.

If screen is not hung level, the material will not roll up correctly and will wrinkle.

Screens up to 12' wide include two mounting brackets, up to 24' include three brackets, and up to 30' include four brackets. Locate these brackets along the case to line up with supporting beams or studding and to evenly support the screen's weight. The end brackets should be installed about 1 foot from each end.

Suspended by Chain: the screen should be hung using the enclosed mounting brackets and quick links with chains and turn buckles for leveling. Each turnbuckle and chain must be rated for lifting 250 lbs. Be sure the chains are attached to a solid beam and are level.

Suspended by All Thread: the screen may also be hung using mounting brackets and All Thread (Hurley Screen recommends using 1/2" All Thread). Making sure the All Thread is attached to a solid beam and is level.

Recessed in Ceiling: when mounting the screen in a recess, shown here using All Thread, make sure the opening is constructed to fit the screen case.
